It was hard to see Bryon up there working on the steeple.....the beautiful Brookside AWM Church.

HELPING HANDS!

This past weekend found us driving near Louisville, KY.  Bryon was up on the Brookside Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church roof trying to fix a leak from a problem with their steeple.  After several hours in the blazing sun, he thinks he has it fixed.  Pray that the leak will stop so that they do not have to remove their steeple for more intense work.  We enjoy getting to be small Helping Hands in God's Kingdom!

While he was busy with that, my cousin was working tirelessly on our wheel bearing that needed changed badly!  Many miles that ole bearing has squealed and made the most horrible noises.  We continued to pray for God's protection over the miles and HE granted it.  So thankful that we had the Helping Hands of Jesus covering our high mileage vehicle.

Speaking of this vehicle, back in 2011, when we knew we were to return to the States soon, we began to look online for a used vehicle.  We didn't know what to be looking for, so we prayed about it and asked God to choose our vehicle!  HE DID!  Do you think God has a sense of humor?  I DO!!!  :)  When my brother Paul called to say he had found a vehicle, that had hit a deer, for a very good price, we excitedly looked up the car we felt God had worked out for us and there it stated......."Voted Ugliest Car in America!!"   HA!  However when we allow God to do the choosing, He ALWAYS chooses best!  When we received our vehicle it had 208,000 miles on it and original motor, tranny etc.  Three years ago I asked God to please keep it running until we it's time to return to Peru.  In three years the mileage now reads 263,000......ummmm, we have done a bit of driving eh? ;)  We are to receive a loaner mission van at the end of November.  Please pray with us that God's Helping Hands will continue to enable our ole Pontiac Aztek to keep on trucking!

We are getting ready to head to Pennsylvania for three mission services, then back to Cincinnati to prepare for our first children's work at the Brethren of Christ camp meeting.  We covet your prayers as we attempt to be Helping Hands in the Master's work!
